Rothko Unfolded
Rothko Unfolded is an innovative infographic brochure designed to guide art enthusiasts to the global locations of Mark Rothko’s paintings. Crafted as an 8-page accordion fold, it offers both traditional page-by-page navigation and a full-length panoramic view.
The brochure, mock-created by the National Gallery of Art, features hand-painted pinpoints on a map, identifying each painting’s location. Mixed media elements and block-shaped paintings echo Rothko’s iconic style, seamlessly blending handmade elements with modern vector graphics to symbolize the evolution of time and our continued connection to his work.
Additionally, the infographic includes a detachable postcard to enhance viewer engagement, prompting further exploration of Rothko’s paintings. Through this project, I aimed to ignite curiosity and foster a deeper connection to Rothko’s enduring legacy, inspiring viewers to explore his paintings in museums worldwide.
